MEET KATELYN

Katelyn Dougherty is the founding attorney of Harbour Business Law, where she brings nearly 15 years of legal experience helping Florida’s small businesses launch, grow, and protect what they’ve built. Her work focuses on entity formation, governance, contract negotiation, intellectual property strategy, business succession, and more—always tailored to the unique needs of her clients.

A Maine native who made Tampa her home in 2007, Katelyn brings New England grit and Southern warmth to both her work and her community. She has served on the board of the Tampa Bay Paralegal Association as Secretary and First Vice President, continues to serve her local condo association—first as President and now as a Director—and proudly serves as our newest President of GEMS (Girls Empowered Mentally for Success), where she hopes her skills can be put to use to mentors and empowers the next generation of young women, and help secure the succession of such an incredible organization.

Outside of her legal work and community contributions, Katelyn is fueled by a love for horses, the water, and travel—always seeking new adventures and meaningful connections. Whether in the boardroom or advocating for clients, she is passionate about building strong foundations—for businesses and for individuals. She is honored to be part of GEMS, a foundation she holds close to her heart, and hopes to be a lasting and valuable asset to its mission.
